  • Half Marathon: 4 hours (18:19 per mile)
  • Marathon: 7 hours (16:01 per mile)

Marathon participants must remain in their assigned corrals and should not drop back, as cutoffs are strictly enforced. Cutoff times are based on your timing chip, not gun time. In the event of a race delay, cutoff times will be adjusted. Final cutoff details are in your Race Week Information Guide.

  • Cutoff #3 – Mile 11 (Marathon only): E Hildebrand Ave & N New Braunfels Ave. Marathon participants who miss this cutoff will be turned around and directed back south on the course.

What happens if I fall behind the minimum pace?

The course time limit starts when the last corral crosses the start line. If your pace drops below the minimum (Marathon: 16:01/mile, Half Marathon: 18:19/mile), you have a few options:

  • Increase your pace to stay within the limit.
  • Ride a SAG vehicle to a later point on the course and continue. You can still finish and receive a medal but will be listed as DNF in the official results.
  • If you cannot or choose not to continue, the SAG vehicle will take you to the next Medical Station for transport back to the finish.
